Peter McCarthy, LL.M, BSc., SCSI, MRICS, MCIArb. Peter holds a Master of Laws Degree in Construction Law and Adjudication and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Quantity Surveying; both with distinction. Peter is also a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Peter has over 25 years of practical experience in the civil engineering and building construction industry. Employed by some of the larger and more established firms as a Commercial Manager and later as a Commercial Director. Peter has extensive experience in producing, managing and defending claims in conciliation and arbitration. Building on this vast experience, McCarthy Dispute Resolution (MCDR) supports and assists clients on construction law matters; contract administration and contractual correspondence; claims preparation, appraisal and defence; dispute management and dispute avoidance. MCDR also supports and assist clients on dispute avoidance boards and project boards and also represent clients in Mediation, Conciliation, Adjudication or Arbitration. MCDR also accepts appointments as a Mediator, Conciliator or Adjudicator on construction disputes.
